Distressed Swirl Grid Greeting Card

Hello All!  I recently showed you a grid card that I made with scoring.  Today's card is another example.  I kept this really simple.
There is a swirl pattern along the right side of the card.  The entire background is sponged with a light shade of brown and then the thick ribbon is used to bring your eye to the stamped sentiment.
The sentiment is from Stampin Up, Whimsical Words
The base of the card is Chocolate Chip
Here is a close up of the grid and stamping.
This is a close up of the distressing my scissors and I made to the edge.

Here is one final look at the card.

Lace Doily Thinking of You Greeting Card

Hello All!
Today the card I'm sharing uses to elements I haven't used from my paper crafting toys.  The Lace Doily Die and the Butterfly Embosslits Die.

I got the idea for this card after a play date with my friend Norma.  She inspired me!  I do have to admit that using the Lace Doily die was very frustrating.  I cut the doily 4 times to finally get the die to cut all the pieces through.  The combination that finally worked was 4 pieces of cardstock under the cutting mats.

The doily and the cardstock with the sentiment on it are Purely Pomegranate the dots and stripes are from an old DSP series.
I used 1/4" Whisper White ribbon, pearls, the three smallest butterflies from the die, and an embossing folder for the details of the card.

Here is a close up of the bottom of the card.  The sentiment is from Trendy Trees, and is stamped in Basic Black.
Here is one final look at the card.

Thanks for stopping!

Featured Stamper Inspired Greeting Card

One of the weekly challenges over at SCS is the Featured Stamper.  This week the featured stamper is one of my favorite paper crafters and I had to participate.  Westie2 otherwise known as Jackie from Rockwell Designs is the Featured Stamper for FS294.  The card from her gallery that inspired me was this one.

Here is my card in honor of Jackie.
The base of my card is Very Vanilla and I used two different pattern papers and a strip of black cardstock behind my rose from Fifth Avenue Floral.
I used Prima leaves behind my rose and pop dots to adhere the rose.

Congratulations on being featured Jackie!  Keep the cards coming!  They are BEAUTIFUL!

Butterfly Paint Chip Greeting Cards

Hello everyone!  Today I'm sharing with you my new fast and favorite cards.  I recycled paint chip samples that didn't make it to my house walls, and I used them to make some simple thank you cards.

Here is the set of four I made.  I used card bases of Pink Pirouette, YoYo Yellow, Bashful Blue, and Green Galore.

I punched a butterfly shape out of each color on the swatch and accented them with pearl flatbacks

I used the thank you stamp from Because I Care and stamped thank you along side each butterfly

What do you think?

Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

Fall Grid Greeting Card

Happy Saturday everyone!  I was able to play a bit in my room and make a fall themed card.  I have always liked the look of grids on cards, but this is the first time I've made a grid card.

The colors are difficult to see in the photos. The base is Old Olive and layered are Chocolate Chip, Bravo Burgundy, and Very Vanilla.  I used stamps from Little Layers II, Lovely as a Tree, and Grateful Greetings.

I used Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Bravo Bugundy, and Old Olive ink

The ribbon is 1/4 inch Old Olive

It's hard to tell, but there is a Chocolate Chip scallop layer on top of the Bravo Burgundy layer of the sentiment that is  on top of the ribbon.

This is the inside sentiment.

One final look at the card.

Have a great day!

New Greeting Cards and etsy Card Listings

Hello All!  It's certainly been a while since I've posted.

As some of you know, we had quite a few of my husband's family staying with us since February, and that meant that my time in my scrap/craft room was limited since someone was also using it as a bedroom!

I'm happy to say that my hubby's family has gotten on their feet and gotten a place of their own with their brand new beautiful baby!

I've been able to get my craft room organized a bit and was able to take some photos of cards to post while I get my creative juices flowing again.  Here are the cards.  All of them can be found listed in my Etsy store.

I'll be busy in my room over the next few days and weeks, so I'm hoping to get back into my blogggig routine.

Blessings!

Handmade Stamped Brown and Pink Greeting Cards

Hello All!  Today's cards are made with shades of browns and pink with some of my favorite DCWV (Die Cuts With a View) pattern paper with glitter.

The cards are made with a base of Creamy Caramel from Stampin Up! and Pretty in Pink
For this first card I used the stamp set called Figures of Speech, and and used a dots embossing folder with my Cuttlebug for the textured Chocolate Chip piece of paper.  I added Pretty in Pink punches from the trio flower punch and adhered them with white brads in the center.
The circle scallop punch in Pretty in Pink was used for the stamped image, and I finished it off with Whisper White grossgrain  1/4" ribbon.

For this card I used the Perfect Punches stamp set and used the Wide Oval punch for the sentiment.  I used and EK Success punch for the lable behind the oval.
I used the same dots embossing folder for this Pretty in Pink piece and finished the card off with random buttons from my stash and a piece of Pretty in Pink ribbon.

Thanks for looking!  Happy Stamping!

Finally Stamping Again--Handmade Stamped Greeting Cards

I've been missing for quite a few months.  Life has certainly been very interesting lately.  There are quiet a few new folks living with my husband and I.  Our house is full, and our time is very busy with the family, but I have found time in the last few days to play with my paper.

Here is what I've been up to with stamping, heat and dry embossing, coloring, die-cutting, Cuttlebug-ging, cutting and piercing.
