Stampin Up Lovely As a Tree Christmas Greeting Card Number Two

Good Morning!  Today I'm sharing with you a card that I demonstrated for my stamp club Ladies Play with Paper!  We met on Thursday this week and I showed a lot of different samples of cards that can be made with one of my favorite stamp sets, Lovely as  a Tree.  The set is soooooooooo versatile, you can  make any occasion with this set and it's perfect for masculine cards too.  The card we made in club is a Christmas card using a technique called 3-D stamping. 

 

I used the following product in this card:

Stamps:  Lovely as a Tree, Petite Pairs

Punch: Oval

Heat gun

1/4 " Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon

White Craft Ink

Baked Brown Sugar Ink

Embossing Powder or choice or Heat and Stick and Glitter of choice

Paper:

Base:  5 1/2 x 81/2 Baja Breeze (retired)

Layers:

Whisper White background- 5 1/4 x 4

DSP- 5 x 1 (retired holiday DSP used in sample)

Crumb Cake (Kraft)- 5 x 2 1/2

Whisper White 5 x 1 1/2

 

Here is a close up of the 3-D look that the trees have.  I loved this look of "snow" and thought it would make a wonderful Christmas/Holiday card and the ladies in club seemed to really like the card. 

 

I tore the smaller white piece of paper to look like snow under the trees.  You could also add glitter if you wanted for more shimmery snow on the ground.

 

This look is made by stamping the trees with the white craft ink and then in the Baked Brown Sugar.  Then you add the embossing powder and set with the heat gun.

 

 The Merry Christmas greeting and the inside sentiment, "and a Happy Joyful, BRIGHT New Year" are from the stamp set Petite Pairs.

Itty Bitty Banner and New Arrival Cricut Cartridge Baby Greeting Card

Hello!  Today I'm bringing you a baby card that I made for my very special cousin, Anne.  She's expecting her first child and the baby shower is today.  Her and her husband have chosen not to know what the sex of the baby is, so I've gone with neutral colors for her card and gift.  I made a scrapbook album for the shower gift, and the card is made with some of the same papers and elements used in the album. 

Here are some pictures of the card.

 

 I used a stamp set and matching die called Itty Bitty Banners from Stampin Up for the greeting, "sweet baby".

 

 I used the Cricut cartridge New Arrival for the onesie and hanger.

 

 Some stickles, a circle punch and a heart punch of the DSP  as well as an embossing folder by Darcie add finishing touches to the card.

Starting My Christmas Greeting Cards

Hello!  I started on my Christmas Cards this weekend and thought I'd share one with you. 

 

 

I used a really versatile stamp set, and one of my long-time favorites (Lovely as a Tree) paired with one of my new favorites (Label Love), and a retired Christmas set (Christmas Greetings).

 

I used a base of Old Olive with a layer of Real Red matted around the Whisper White piece stamped with Old Olive ink.  I used a holiday brad from my stash (not Stampin Up) and  some pop-dots and glitter.  Simple, but effective.

 



  Here is the greeting inside, also stamped in Old Olive ink.

Exciting Update--New Stampin Up Demonstrator

Hello Everyone!  

I wanted to share an exciting personal and professional update with you.  After years of using and loving Stampin Up products, I've finally taken the leap and joined them as an Independent Demonstrator!    Don't get me wrong, I don't have exclusively Stampin Up product in my craft room, but a majority of my stamps, cardstock and supplies are from Stampin Up.  I love the quality, and the product, and I love sharing techniques, projects and tutorials with people, so after praying about it, I arrived at the decision to JUMmP!  Some of you are surprised that it took me this long to arrive at this decision, and some of you are shaking your heads at me.  :)  

I haven't decided how active I'd like to be in doing workshops, open houses, make-and-takes, etc. since I still have my full-time paying job, but I will figure it out as time and God reveals.  

If you are interested in hosting a workshop and would like me to help you and some friends make some fun projects together, I'd be happy to work with you to find a good time.  I'm also thinking about having a Christmas Make & Take / Stamp-A-Stack on Sunday, December 1, 2013 or Saturday, December 7, 2013.  I'll be hosting these sessions in my home, so space will be limited to 10 attendees. If any of you are interested, please let me know!
