Butterfly For You Greeting Card

As you've seen in some of my other posts, I try to participate in the challenges over at SplitCoastStampers (SCS).  I had time to make a card in honor of the Featured Stamper this week, Tami Mayberry. She had a great gallery of cards to look through.  They're beautiful, but I didn't have the same stamps, so I had a bit more challenge in finding similar stamps from my stock to use.  You can click on this link to look at the card from her gallery that inspired my card below.

I used a stamp from the dollar bin at Michael's by Studio G, and the sentiment is from Elements of Style by Stampin Up.
My cardstock is River Rock, and I stamped the butterfly onto the cardstock and onto a piece of pattern paper by K & Company.  Then I cut out the image from the pattern paper and popped it up.  I made a really thin border of black cardstock around the main image and the sentiment, and actually had to trim them by hand and sand them down to be so close to the same size, but I like the subtle pop of black rather than a thicker, bolder border.
This was my first time using this larger dot embossing folder.
Here is a close up of the butterfly
I was trying to show you the layering
One more look at the final card.
Thanks for looking and happy stamping!
