I've be toying around with my swap cards for baby girl, boy, and neutral. Today's card is one of the potentials for the swap.
I started with a card base of Pear Pizazz, two pattern papers from DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl collection, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, and White.
I used two stamp sets from Stampin Up! Little Hellos for the giraffe, and Short and Sweet for the "welcome baby" sentiment
I added dimensionals behind the giraffe, and added Pretty in Pink 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.
I added three button brads
and lots of machine stitching
The panels that make up the background each measure 1.75 x 4". I like the look of the glitter in the pattern papers, but I'm feeling like the card is missing something. I'll continue playing and see what I decide to change.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed day!
This is such a sweet card! I love the very tiny fine details, like the stitching and buttons. I noticed in your description of the card you think it is missing something . . . maybe try coloring the giraffe the golden/orange/yellow in the pattern paper. I would love to see how that looks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card! I LOVE the colors & your layout...the added bling is perfect!! I don't think it needs anything besides maybe coloring your image. Very nice work & TFS!!!
