Birthday Butterflies Greeting Card

I'm still on a butterfly kick!  Oh well, I'll continue to go with it until something elese inspires me.  :o)

Today's card is made with more of items I stamped and used from Norma's stash.  The embossing folder, the punches and the stamps used on this card are from her!  THANKS NORMA!
I used Brocade Blue as the base for this card, and then a layer of Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla and accents in Pumpkin Pie.
I used a direct to paper technique to accent the embossed edges of the paper.

I popped the sentiment up with dimensionals
added pearls into the circles formed by the embossing folder
used double layers of the butterflies for added dimension
and ran the top layer of each butterfly through an embossing folder for added texture.
Here is one final look at the card.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Very pretty! I like the pumpkin and blue together! Not a color combo I would have thought to use, but I will now! ;) Thanks for the inspiration!

  2. Lots of lovely texture on this card. Love the butterflies!

  3. OOh, I love your card. I will definitely have to try dry embossing my butterflies. Love butterflies, they are such beautiful creatures.

  4. A lot of nice detail. Love the sentiment!
