Van Gogh Butterfly Life Greeting Card

For today's card I used a technique that I rarely use anymore.  I punched a circle in the bottom front of the card to show the image that's adhered inside.  I used a color combination that I haven't tried before.  Bermuda Bay and Soft Suede...it's okay.  I'm not in love with it, so I'll play more.

I used the stamp set from Stampin Up! called Dreams duJour.  I love this set, but this is only my second time inking it up.  I'll have to pull it our more often.
I love the quote, and I wanted to draw more attention to the all capitalized letters, so I used markers to ink the stamp in the coordinating color.
I used the scallop border punch to accent the circle punched into the front of the card.
Here is a close up peering into the card
This is the inside of the card
Last look.
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Beautiful quote! I think the circle punched out and the image inside is a great technique. It adds so much dimension to your card. I love the color combination, one of my favorite colors is brown.
