Today's Thrifty Thursday tip is basically about getting more out of your paper. In this case, size really does matter. I typically make traditional A2 size cards, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2", but by changing the size of the card, you can get more bang for your buck. Let's take a traditional 12 x 12 sheet of paper. If you were going to make a standard size card, you can get two standard size cards out of it, six 4 x 3 or eight 3 x 3 cards. A lot of times, you don't need a large card to deliver your message, sometimes you're just looking for a little something to include with a gift. That is the perfect time to use a smaller card.
Not only can you save money on the extra paper, but you won't use as much adhesive, or embelishments. It is also a lot easier to use your scraps when the area you're working with is so much smaller.
I can still give a great, handmade card that the recipient appreciates, without using all the extra paper to deliver my message.
Look for future posts on how to make a great gift box that fits 3 x 3 cards and turns them into a great gift.
Thanks for stopping and happy stamping!
